Nehemiah Housing Association is a progressive housing association with a portfolio of 1250 properties including 8 retirement schemes offering homes to multicultural communities across the West Midlands.
We are firmly embedded in the Church of God of Prophecy, and we specialize in providing high-quality accommodation and support packages for elders from the BAME community. The provision of good, affordable housing for families, couples and single people is the platform from which the association has committed itself to the community at large.

To achieve this and in line with our Board and Committee Succession Plan, we are seeking members who have extensive knowledge of the social housing sector from a strategic level. It is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our mission ‘To build successful, sustainable, and diverse communities by providing housing and well-being services in a culturally sensitive way to our current and our future tenants’.
Key skills required:
- Strategic Asset Management
- Strategic Finance & ICT including Cyber Security
- Awareness of decarbonisation and the Green Agenda
- Risk Management
Individuals must have prior board/committee /director level experience in the public and not-for-profit sector. Successful candidates will be nominated to serve on the Operations and, Audit and Risk committees.
