Our client is a well-established and growing accountancy practice on the outskirts of Oxford. They are looking for a bookkeeper to join our team based in our Witney office.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for Supporting
- Undertaking the bookkeeping for a wide range of clients both onsite and remotely. This includes but is not limited to:
- Posting sales and purchase invoices
- Bank and other Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Posting wages journals
- Raising Sales invoices for clients
- Assisting with clients’ credit control
- Acting as a point of contact for the client
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting with preparation of management accounts (desirable but not essential)
- Assisting with payroll processing (desirable but not essential).
- Other administrative tasks
Successful applicants may have practice experience, worked in a service industry or for a professional firm, and will ideally be looking for a career in a progressive business environment. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or studying, experienced, with a positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Prior experience of using Xero and Sage 50 is essential.
