As Bookkeeper, you will report to the practice manager and will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients ensuring that their bookkeeping needs are met. This is a busy role, and you will need the ability to hit the ground running.
You be fully equipped with all the equipment you will need, including a laptop, and will be based at the office in Ramsbottom working a mix of office, home and at client’s premises.
As Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will include:
- Purchase and sales ledger, raising and entering invoices in Sage/Xero
- Processing sales orders and purchase orders in Sage/Xero
- Bank reconciliations.
- VAT returns
- Processing small monthly payrolls in Sage/Xero
- Meeting strict HMRC deadlines.
- Working with multiple currencies, bank accounts, departments, and entities
- Producing accounts to trial balance stage
- All other day-to-day accounts/office duties e.g., to maintaining accurate files and enter data in a timely fashion.
- AAT qualified or similar
- Minimum of 3 years UK experience / proven track record in a similar position.
- Communication skills.
- Confidence to work off-site.
