Our client, an accountancy practice situated in the South West, seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to join their thriving Team at their Exeter Office. Part-time applicants will be considered for this position.
This Bookkeeper position will be responsible for providing a seamless and efficient bookkeeping service to a diverse and growing clientele of small businesses throughout Devon and the South West. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple client accounts simultaneously, and demonstrate proficiency across all bookkeeping functions.
The responsibilities:
- Managing a dedicated portfolio of clients.
- Delivering comprehensive bookkeeping services to your client portfolio up to trial balance.
- Aiding clients in meeting VAT deadlines and CIS returns.
- Potential involvement in preparing monthly or quarterly management accounts for select clients as needed.
The candidate:
- Experience in bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
- Experience working within a practice environment.
- Working experience of Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks. Microsoft Office experience.
- Experience with Making Tax Digital (MTD) implementation is advantageous.
- AAT, IAB, or ICB qualified or in progress.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills via all means available.
