We are a small accountancy practice based in Gravesend, specialising in the construction sector. We are actively seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join our team.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations and control accounts
- Preparation of accounts to trial balance
- Liaising with HMRC and clients
- Answering incoming calls; taking messages and re-directing calls as required
- Assist with the day to day running of the business
- Other ad hoc administration duties when required.
Requirements for a successful candidate:
- Strong knowledge of VAT Regulations, MTD and CIS
- Competent user of Xero/Sage/Quickbooks
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Work to deadlines
- Prioritise workflow
- Excellent organisational skills
- Confident, motivated and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
