Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain detailed financial records and reconcile accounts.
- Process payroll and maintain employee records in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, providing regular reports to management.
- Assist with financial forecasting and budget planning for upcoming projects.
- Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory documents.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and interior designers to ensure financial goals align with project objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within the construction or interior design industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred but not required).
