We are now looking for a local Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join our busy team in our small, friendly office based near Guildford!
Salary: Dependent on experience and hours
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time
Bookkeeper / Office Manager Duties:
Manage Sales & Purchase Ledgers:
* Raise invoices, allocate payments, issue customer statements , chase late payments etc
* Raise Purchase orders, confirm receipts, input purchase invoice, BACS supplier payments monthly etc
Banking:
* Reconcile bank statements and card receipts daily/frequently, manage/reconcile petty cash, Paypal, on-line shop receipts company credit card etc
Reporting/Accounts
* Complete VAT returns and ensure payments to HMRC for VAT, Corporation Tax etc are made in a timely fashion
* Produce monthly management reports - - aged debtors, aged creditors, balance sheet, P&L, trial balance, Sales and Hire Stock List etc
* Maintain Fixed Asset register and depreciation
* Pass journal entries as appropriate
Other:
* Make sure AIB Merchant Data updated yearly
* Year End work from previous list and allocate all paperwork for Accountant
* Various office admin tasks
* Answer phone and take/manage machine hire bookings
Bookkeeper / Office Manager Requirements:
* Must have experience of managing accounts, credit control/VAT/bank postings/reconciliations/sales invoicing/payment runs, purchase invoicing, trial balances and various admin functions.
* Must be proficient in Xero and have excellent telephone skills.
* Have a positive, can-do attitude.
* Ability to work quickly and accurately.
* Highly organised and focused.
