SalaryWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Part Qualified Accountant Bookkeeper to join our client s team on a part-time basis 28 hours per week over 5 days.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of professional qualifications and practical experience, demonstrating proficiency in AAT Level 4 or equivalent, along with a strong accounting background .
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients.
- Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.
- Handle client enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Year and month end tasks
- Excel
- Sage
- Provide support and guidance to junior/trainee team members.
- Occasionally visit clients for face-to-face meetings, demonstrating confidence and professionalism in client-facing situations
- Complete tax returns and statutory accounts, if possible
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to meet deadlines and client needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence in client-facing interactions
- Paid overtime
