Job description

Part-time finance administrator or bookkeeper required for an established and leading local financial planning firm. This is an office based part-time role (hours to be agreed) working very closely with our MD. 3 days per week salary range £19,800-£21,600. FTE £33,000-£36,000.

Can you work in close collaboration with our MD, learning and developing the systems together.

Keeping excellent records in a logical, structured and up to date way.

Can you coordinate our contract renewals, obtaining all relevant information and presenting the firms best options?

The role

Working on a close one to one basis with our MD and working alongside other colleagues, the aim of the role is to provide financial administration activities to support the needs of the business.

The duties will involve carrying out all bookkeeping and financial duties including:

    • Accounts reconciliation.
    • Recording and reconciling commission receipts.
    • Accounts payable.
    • Contract renewals.
    • Business banking.
    • Recording and paying expenses.
    • One off purchase invoices.
    • Maintaining financial office filing and reporting systems.

Essential Skills

  • At least two years experience gained working in finance, ideally within a small company.
  • Able to commit to regular office based part-time hours.
  • Strong IT skills and able to use Office Microsoft packages competently.
  • Keen attention to detail with a methodical approach.
  • Well organised, task orientated and able to co-ordinate a range of activities.
  • Able to work closely with our MD in a very structured and ordered environment.
  • Collaborating with the MD to learn the ropes and systems.
  • Collaborating closely with the MD to redesign/upgrade procedures/systems.
  • Able to follow specific instructions to ensure all tasks are completed as they should be an in a timely manner.
  • Like working as part of a small team.
  • Love achieving and getting stuff done.
