PJA Carpentry Ltd is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper/Administrator on a permanent contract and a full time basis. This role will report to directly to the Directors and is based in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, we have free on-site parking.
We are a labour only carpentry sub-contractor working on new build developments comprising mainly of houses and flats.
Tasks include:
· Bank reconciliation, journals, prepayments, cash flow, VAT
· Creditors, Debtors, expenses, online banking
· CITB grant claims, levy return
· Prepare accounts each month
· Prepare accounts and pack of reports for quarter end Accountants visit
· Prepare and send wages which are outsourced, fortnightly
· Liaising with suppliers, payroll company, customers
· Various reports for the Directors
· Adhoc administration tasks to assist with the smooth running of the office where training will be provided
Skills required:
· Proficiency in WORD and EXCEL
· Familiar with accounting software
· Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
· Work on own initiative and as part of a small team
· Strong organisational and communication skills
Working Hours : 9am - 5pm
