Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting for a Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our Portsmouth's based client.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, as QuickBooks.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparations.
- Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into the organization's financial performance
- Develop, monitor, and manage budgets.
Administrative Management Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead office staff, including administrative assistants and receptionists.
- Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems to ensure organizational effectiveness.
- Maintain and improve office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with field technicians to schedule appointments and ensure timely completion of services.
- Manage and organize company records, including customer accounts, invoices, and contracts.
- Generate and analyze reports to monitor office performance.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring of office expenses.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for office staff.
- Manage employee schedules, time off requests, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 Per Annum
Working Hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday (Flexible hours available)
