Job Description
- Supervise and lead the bookkeeping team.
- Assisting with managing the deliverables of approximately 150 bookkeeping clients.
- Preparing and submitting VAT Return
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts/information
- Delegate work to an outsourcing team and reviewing their completed work.
- Preparing and submitting CIS Returns
- Oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information.
- Develop and enforce accurate bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve results.
- Provide solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Bookkeeping Supervisor should have:
- Previous work experience in UK accountancy firm(s)
- Proficient knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Ideally hold an AAT (or equivalent) qualification
- Relevant software experience including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and CCH
- CIS experience
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare reports.
- Management Accounts/Information (beneficial)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player
- Must hold the right to work
