Contract type: Full time (35 hours per week) Fixed Term - 2 year fixed term contract from start date, available as soon as possible Location: Usher Institute moves to a new building in Edinburgh Bioquarter, early 2024 The Centre for Population Health Sciences at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for an experienced research administrator to support the work of the Behavioural Research UK (BR-UK) Leadership Hub. The Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of world-leading behavioural from a range of disciplines delivering ambitious and important research, knowledge exchange, public engagement and impact activities. Behavioural Research UK (BR-UK) is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for five years from October 2023. The post-holder will be responsible for providing general administrative support, working closely with the BR-UK Manager and a second administrator based at University College London. Your skills and attributes for success: Proven experience in an administrative, ideally with research administration Excellent numeracy, written, oral and communication skills. Proficiency in using MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and databases Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders IT skills, including experience of using digital media and preparing online communication materials Good budgeting skills, using financial systems, ordering and goods receipting.
