Brand Strategy Manager - Own Brand

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Brand Strategy Manager for Own Brand to join our highly energetic, customer driven Own Brand team who are in an ambitious transformation period. Reporting into the Senior Manager for Own Brand Strategy and Design you will be responsible for developing new Own Brand strategic propositions and growth plans aligned to changing customer needs and business strategy, working closely with packaging designers, copy writers and brand/data analysts.
The role requires a combination of creativity, strategic thinking, and analytical skills to build and maintain strong brand awareness.
The Role
-You will work cross-functionally to define, develop and deliver new Own Brands as well as strategically manage existing ones.
-You will set clear intent, direction, objectives and guardrails as well as effectively reviewing and communicating performance, customer feedback and consumer trends to ensure we remain on track and realign where required.
-You will develop comprehensive brand strategies aligned with company goals, bringing together market insight to identify trends, competitor activities and consumer preferences, analysing the data and insight to refine and optimise your brands strategies.
-You will define and articulate the unique value proposition of the brand, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all communication channels.
-You will monitor and adjust brand positioning in response to market dynamics, consumer trends, consumer feedback, reviews and social media, implementing initiatives to build and maintain customer loyalty.
-You will plan and execute effective product launches, considering target audience and market trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create integrated marketing campaigns and develop promotional strategies to drive product awareness and sales.
-You will collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to ensure effective brand execution including design.
-You will engage with Senior Leaders across the business to ensure strategic alignment and be an Own Brand Ambassador - living and breathing the Asda Brand and its Own Brands.
About You
-Degree level or Equivalent
-A visionary, dynamic and delivery focused Brand Manager with a proven track record of delivering propositions which engage, motivate and inspire customers
-Strategic Thinking: Ability to think long-term and develop effective brand strategies.
-Creativity: Creative flare to create customer centric brand designs
-Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively and to work collaboratively across departments
-Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and priorities.
-A proven experience in a Brand Strategy or Brand Management role
-Strong understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour
-Able to analyse data, insight and create propositions and strategies for growth
-Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with laser customer focus and a passion for Brands
-Strong presentation and communication skills, being able to write and deliver presentations to stakeholders at all levels with an ability to story tell
-Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
-Proficiency in using relevant software and tools. - i.e. data sources (Kantar, Neilson, WPO, The Terminal)
