We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent, Full Time, Building Services Manager to join Southampton City Council in the Design Services Team  within the Corporate Estate & Assets Division.

You will be responsible for managing the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with regulatory standards.  

You will have a strong background in coordinating Building Services projects from conception to completion. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

You will be qualified to Building Engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification recognised by professional engineering institutes (e.g., CIBSE) and possess Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status Ideally, you will be working towards Principal Designer (Building regulations) competency.

Additional information:

  • The working hours for this role are 37 hours per week
  • This is a permanent position.   
  • Please note that appointments are usually made at the bottom of the salary scale.
