37 hours per week, may include some weekends and evenings
Local Government Pay Award Scheme Up to NJC ScP 6 (£23,893)
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties for Bridgnorth Town Council. To work in a small team to ensure the efficient and affective administration of the Town Council initiatives to achieve its strategic objective while striving to deliver excellent customer service.
What will you be doing?
- To provide administrative support to the Town Clerk, in their absence the Deputy Town Clerk
- To provide administrative support to the Town Mayor
- To provide administrative support to the DLF Supervisor and the Environmental Services delivered.
- To provide administrative support to the Planning Committee for the Town Council’s responses to planning applications.
- To provide administrative support in the preparation of agendas and the production of the minutes for Town Council meetings.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Co-ordinate the updating of the Town Council’s Website and social media platforms.
What do you need?
- 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above (to include Maths and English)
- Experience of working in an administrative environment
- Effective communicator
- Computer literate including all windows packages
- Experience with social media
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Flexibility
