Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document data requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Analyse existing processes, workflows and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimisation
- Create and maintain product documentation of data models, processes and business rules/logic
- Work closely with data architects and engineers to translate business requirements into user stories and features
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of data, assist stakeholders with UAT
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements
- Lead scoping workshops with clients to gather detailed business requirements with an awareness of technical feasibility
- Conduct regular meetings and workshops with clients to gather feedback, address concerns and issues, and update on project progress
- Create user stories to an appropriate level of detail, including diagrams, acceptance criteria, mock-ups and flow diagrams where required
- Visualize requirements by providing design mock-ups and diagrams
Required Experience
- 2-10 years as a Business Analyst or similar roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience required
- Have an excellent understanding of the Agile Product Lifecycle Delivery experience
- Experience using document repositories and wiki-based applications
- Good overall understanding of data products including science, analytics, reporting, dashboarding, Big Data and data warehousing
- Ability to understand and relay the product from a technical standpoint
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience using product delivery tools e.g. JIRA/TFS
- Experience with data security and compliance (GDPR, CCPA etc)
- Experience with delivering cloud solutions
- Good understanding of security principles
