The main duties and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Prioritisation of requirements based on business objectives and development effort to inform product roadmaps.
  • Support evaluation of technical feasibility and commercial viability of new products and features.
  • Gathering data to support decision making on product strategy, commercialisation and investment
  • Support initial high-level assessment of business readiness for change with stakeholders; identifying process, data, training and technology changes needed to deliver the capability envisaged.
  • Support product teams in engaging with users to capture feedback and test new features and functionality.

You will have exposure to a wide range of sectors and service lines across Mott MacDonald; supporting colleagues with varying levels of digital maturity to translate their knowledge, processes and methods into digital solutions that solve client challenges and deliver return on investment to the business.
The role will involve aspects of:
  • Identifying opportunities for implementing digitalisation to solve infrastructure industry challenges.
  • Persona and user story development.
  • Developing business requirements through stakeholder engagement and requirements analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Solutions Architect, Product Manager and Product Lead to assess and agree a development roadmap for new products or extensions to existing products.
  • Continuing engagement with end-users in the managing the realisation of business requirements through any design and development.

Candidate specification:
Required skills:
You are expected to bring skills and experience to the role:

Essential
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills.
  • Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

The role will be exposed to the demanding and real-world problems faced by our clients and project teams; and have the exciting opportunity to help them articulate their business requirements and advise them on digital solutions and methods to meet their challenges.
The role has a fantastic opportunity to shape our team and what we can do for Mott MacDonald. We want enthusiasm and excitement, tempered with pragmatism to help steer our products to deliver what our teams and clients need now and in the future.

About the team:
The Central Digital Solutions team is responsible for creating and managing a portfolio of digital solutions to maximise return on investment on behalf of the EUNA and ISMA regions of Mott MacDonald.
The Solutions workstream is involved in guiding the business to make investment decisions regarding new products and extensions to existing products, working with product teams to grow products and deliver return on investment through software subscriptions, increased service revenue and efficiency savings, helping to incubate and test new ideas and providing advice to clients and project teams on which tools and products can best serve their needs.
