What you will be doing:
• Analyse business requirements elicited from stakeholders at a detailed technical level to understand fully how software solutions enhance business activities; Handling edge cases and exception scenarios • Develop solutions based on the IT Roadmap & Company Vision, adhering to approved solution architectures; Challenging the stakeholder business cases & user journey assumptions • Organise workshops with developers and stakeholders, ensuring all participants have a common understanding of definitions, processes, behaviours & goals; Documenting clear actions and outcomes • Working with a Software & Reporting Development Team in an agile working environment; Taking part in all scrum ceremonies • Accurately translate business requirements into unambiguous acceptance criteria that developers and testers can deliver against; Ensuring all software paths, data combinations & exceptions are documented • Using the refinement process to agree and understand the implementation of solutions; Being cognisant of how the implementation may impact on other systems & stakeholders • Manage the product backlog, ensuring the scrum team have 2-3 sprints worth of refined work at all times; Regularly meeting with stakeholders to re-prioritise work and managing their expectations • Capture all Epics & Features in MS Azure DevOps; Document incremental changes as User Stories, such that the business receives tangible benefits iteratively • Working with solution architects, design and capture Data Models & Data Processing Journeys; Taking ownership of solutions and justifying their design, complexity & cost • Communicate complex systems in an accessible format, ensuring all stakeholders and scrum teams have a common understanding of business logic & data processing • Organise demos & presentations, and author & distribute release notes; Maintain documentation, so that it always reflects the latest changes • Identify risks and existing legacy data issues; Develop solutions & implementations that strike the right balance between problem mitigation, scenario coverage and costs
Who we're looking for:
• You are well organised, have O365/Microsoft-365 experience, and have worked closely with software development teams • An enthusiastic individual who would be comfortable to work with all different business departments and colleagues from various backgrounds & seniority; Someone who can confidently ask questions, challenge processes, and understand the business • A professional who will be quick to identify opportunities for improvement in any business process; Someone who will promote solutions to improve the customer experience, products, controls and efficiencies • An analytical thinker and methodical researcher who would enjoy giving simple solutions to complex problems and be quick to identify patterns in datasets • This is not a basic requirement gathering Business Analyst role! You will have critical thinking analysis skills and an understanding of computational concepts (e.g. logic patterns, data dependencies)
- Monday to Friday 35 hours per week with the option to flex around 09:00-17:00 and all flexible/part-time working options considered
