Business Analyst (Telecommunication/Regulatory Programme )

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst with telco regulatory experience to take on a 6 month contract role with a well know Telco based in Reading\England.

Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (Telecommunication/Regulatory Programme )

6 month contract

Hybrid - 2 days/week in Green Park Reading

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analysis of technical and business requirements for telecommunication and regulatory programmes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and prioritise project requirements.
• Analyse and assess the impact of regulatory changes on telecommunication systems and processes.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as business process flows, system specifications, and user manuals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within telecommunication and regulatory frameworks.
• Work closely with security teams to integrate and maintain compliance with Telecommunication Security Act requirements.
• Provide expertise on telecommunication technologies and their implications for regulatory compliance.
• Participate in project planning, testing, and implementation phases, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Support programme where required

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in the telecommunication or regulatory domain.
• Strong understanding of telecommunication systems, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with the Telecommunication Security Act and other relevant industry regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience in project management from a BA perspective, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of risk management, security practices, and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of working with tools like JIRA, Confluence, PPT, VISIO, Excel

Bonus:

• Certification in Business Analysis or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of the Telecommunication Security Act and its implications.
• Previous experience working on regulatory programs in the telecommunications industry.

High level deliverables (but not limited to)

1. Requirements Documentation:

Gather and document detailed technical and business requirements for telecommunication and regulatory programs.

Clearly articulate project needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Assess the impact of regulatory changes on telecommunication systems and processes.

Ensure adherence to the Telecommunication Security Act and other relevant regulations.

Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Facilitate discussions to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process flows, system specifications, and user manuals.

Keep documentation up-to-date to reflect changes in telecommunication and regulatory environments.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within telecommunication and regulatory frameworks.

Propose and implement enhancements to optimize workflows and ensure compliance.

Participate in project planning, testing, and implementation phases.

Work closely with security teams to integrate and maintain compliance with the Telecommunication Security Act.

Provide expertise on telecommunication technologies and their implications for regulatory compliance during project execution.
