We're hiring a Business Apprentice within our Logistics support team at Acorn House, Highbridge.
The successful candidates will join Yeo Valley in August 2024, and start the Business Administrator Apprenticeship with TRS Training Ltd in September. Please refer to copy of the apprenticeship attached.
As a Business Apprentice at Yeo Valley, you'll be working as part of a busy, dynamic Logistics team in a distinctive, ambitious and trusted manufacturing company that is committed to making great British dairy & organic products.
What can I expect?
Over an eighteen month period, supported by the Logistics team and the training provider, the Business Administrator Apprenticeship develops the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours for developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services in an organisation.
The role’s responsibilities are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation across different functional areas.
What skills, knowledge & behaviours will I develop?
Staff develop professional competence in many areas, including:
- Using multiple IT packages and systems to increase efficiency, keep records, analyse data and problem-solve.
- Producing accurate digital and manual records, reports, files and documents in a compliant and confidential manner
- Employing proactivity, good judgement, sound reasoning and the advice of others in decision making
- Building and maintaining positive relationships within Logistics team and organisation
- Developing good communication skills: face-to-face, phone, writing & digital
- Completing tasks to high standards through expertise, consultation & continuous improvement
- Managing priorities, resources and time to successfully meet deadlines
- Project management
- Business fundamentals
- Organisational knowledge including policies, processes, relevant regulation & stake-holders

Hours worked : Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week
Pay during the apprenticeship is dependent on your age as below:
Age 16 and 17 (£6.40), Age 18 to 20 (£8.60), Age 21+(£11.44) - (National Living Wage)
