Business Development Executive

We have a superb opportunity for a Business Development Executive to work for our FMCG client based just outside of Peterborough. The BDE will need to have worked in a similar role and be experienced in New Product Development. The Business Development Executive will be joining a successful company a great team and will receive on going training and support and there are plenty of opportunities for career progression. My client are offering a competitive salary 20 days + holiday, pension and other benefits, the role is mainly office based but with opportunities to work from home. This exciting role is working within the Health and Beauty industry so candidates will need to be passionate about this.

Role Description

Working with the relevant Business Development Manager to deliver all Product Development, Sales and Commercial elements of customer relationship with key retail accounts, driving sales and profit/margin performance. Ensuring highest levels of customer service at all times.

Experience required

·Evidence of driving and managing key multiple retail/brand accounts

·Evidence of producing sales growth within key retail/brand accounts

·Evidence of successful relationship building within key retail/brand accounts

·Management of multiple product types and categories within key retail/brand accounts

Commercial and Sales Management

·Working with the customer to identify new product opportunities and to develop their brand.

·PrepareProduct Costings ( brief internal teams - liaising with the companies suppliers as needed )

·Prepare quotations to send to customers

·Price negotiation with customers

·Ensure comprehensive and timely handover to the Product Manager on NPD projects

·Initiate and drive product cost engineering where needed

·Working with the Business Development Managers to manage product commercially throughout its lifecycle ( impact of cost increases / change of specification / sales order volume change )

·Assist with producing sales budget to include sales/ margin and NPD costs ( where applicable )

·Tracking monthly sales V budget.

·Working with Customer Service Team to identify any potential Pull Forwards from next month.

·Tracking adherence to sales budget and reporting to the business shortfalls / gains.

·Produce post launch reviews, for internal and customer use

The role is mainly office based with flexibility to work from home.
