Business Development Executive
Location: Melton Mowbray
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 + commission
Summary:
Our client is an established national operator within the Freight industry. They are looking to expand their sales team, by appointing a Business Development Executive, to assist the senior sales team and play a vital role in driving outbound sales activity. You will be responsible for supporting the continued growth of new business by managing inbound and outbound sales activities, generating leads, setting appointments, and providing the Business Development Managers with qualified warm leads and appointments. As well as nurturing and building your own sales pipeline, quoting, and closing smaller business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an initial point of contact for inbound phone, email and website enquiries.
- Use the internal CRM to record all activity and pass leads through to the relevant field based Business Development Manager.
- Produce and negotiate with customers on smaller business opportunities.
- Maintain a consistent level of outbound activity to introduce the services of the business to prospective new customers.
- Set appointments for the senior team to visit key decision makers within target organisations.
- Proactively contact and identify prospects from defined sectors and geographies.
- Nurture leads and build relationships with prospects through effective communication and follow-up
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in a B2B telesales/telemarketing environment
- An understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain sectors
- Well-developed skills and disciplines in CRM management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
