Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager – Based Northwest – Remote Working, must be able to attend sales meeting monthly in Cheshire

Our client supports digital transformation through market leading software within local government and continuing healthcare providers enabling them to enhance the way they deliver their services by providing low code cloud-based solutions.

They are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with considerable experience of selling enterprise software SaaS Marketing/Communications CMS or Consultative Technology selling into Central and/or Local Government or Public Sector entities and public sector procurement.

As a Business Development Manager, you will demonstrate a history of selling into C-Level stakeholders and selling £100k plus deals as part of a diverse sales pipeline. Proven ability to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with new clients with exceptional consultative selling and critical thinking skills.

Ability to translate the capabilities of multiple technology platforms into specific benefits for a given public sector organisation.

Basic salary up to £80,000 depending on experience, OTE c£60,000 plus car or car allowance and benefits

• Proven ability and passion for prospecting to develop new accounts with a passion for working in public sector
• Client focused with exceptional communication and presentation skills both written and spoken
• Familiarity with public sector Digital Communication and Citizen Engagement
• Understanding of Digital Transformation strategies and supporting technologies

Duties

• Develop a growth strategy focused both on local government and NHS sectors
• Understand complex customer requirements for Digital Experience platforms, including CRM, CMS, self-service, digital transformation, consultation, engagement and communications within the public sector
• Able to develop effective strategies for winning in a competitive environment

• Manage internal resources, including sales support, marketing, and solution architects/consultants to present a compelling case to prospects
• Respond to RFPs, PQQs and Tenders and lead the completion of bid documentation to win new contracts
• Ability to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
• Manage all aspects of sales in your territory including; prospecting, activity tracking, opportunity management, revenue forecasting, contract management, and closing deals
• Pursue leads generated by yourself and our inbound and outbound marketing efforts
• Support the management team in developing sales strategies
• Update the CRM with accurate dates, customer notes and sales stages
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Arrange business meetings with prospective clients and present to customers
• Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
• Prepare sales contracts and ensure adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
• Build long-term relationships with new customers
