Business Development Manager

Insight Investment are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to drive organic business growth in the UK & Ireland by executing against agreed sales plans with energy and discipline.
Role Responsibilities
•Identifying and pursuing new opportunities for business growth.
•Identifying clients’ needs and matching effectively to Insight’s capabilities.
•Adopting a proactive and structured approach to engaging with target investors.
•Creating, managing, and converting a broad pipeline of opportunities.
•Leading pitch teams to secure new business.
•Collaborating with other colleagues to identify and follow up on cross selling opportunities.
•Ensuring all sales collateral is effective and aligned to client specific circumstances.
•Participating and attending conferences to drive sales activity.
•Assessing the viability and opportunity to expand Insight’s products and services.
Experience Required
•Strong track record in a similar, sales related role.
•Broad understanding of the pensions and investment industry and competitive landscape.
•Demonstrable experience of working with UK institutional clients, incl. LGPS and DC.
•Strong understanding of clients’ varying and evolving needs and the ability to proactively position appropriate capabilities and solutions to meet these.
•Able to develop strong relationships and build consensus, both internally and externally.
•Excellent communication skills; highly articulate and able to tailor style as appropriate.
•Collaborative working style: demonstrable desire to generate and develop ideas with a wide range of colleagues across the organisation.
•Highly motivated, proactive and execution focused.
•Able to prioritise and manage time and projects effectively.
•Client centric with a commercial mindset.
