Business Development Manager - £50K - Cambridge (Hybrid Working)
An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Business Development Manager within an award-winning Content Marketing Agency in Cambridge (Hybrid working)
We are looking for an experienced sales person to generate new business for our content marketing and publishing services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
¦ Cold-call new business leads and follow up on existing leads
¦ Maintain CRM database and summary pipeline report to record leads
¦ Carry out research to support the identification of new lead opportunities.
¦ Deliver market intelligence that will help identify and shape the development for new business projects
¦ Creation and delivery of presentations and proposals, responding to tenders, and
preparing and attending pitches
¦ Attend meetings or events, either independently or as part of a team, to support
new Business Development
¦ Provide a monthly report on activity and prospects
¦ Handle and respond to web/phone and email-based enquiries
¦ Ensure marketing collateral is meeting the Business Development needs
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
¦ Excellent communication skills (in English), both spoken and written
¦ Sales and Business Development experience
¦ Experience working in or with a marketing agency
¦ Commitment to attention to detail
¦ Excellent organisational and administration skills with the ability to work under
pressure and prioritise own activities to deliver against deadlines
¦ Marketing knowledge
¦ Experience using PowerPoint or Google Slides to create proposals.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
¦ Understanding and experience of the membership and association industry
¦ Working in a Business Development team in a marketing agency.
