We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our Conventions Sales New Business Team.
The role will focus on developing and securing new business for our Conventions venues (ICC, Vox, NEC Suites / Live Events), increasing their profitable occupancy with new Convention event content.
Dedicated to a specific venue(s) / market segment (s), the role will be responsible for developing client relationships, taking a proactive approach to seeking new business opportunities through new clients to achieve personal sales targets.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a driven and self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record of successfully winning new business and building relationships with clients in a commercial business environment.
- Have significant and proven sales experience, delivering and managing sales targets, ideally within a similar industry or selling environment.
- Be skilled in identifying new markets and opportunities to generate new leads, drive sales and increasing revenue.
- Have a drive and energy to exceed all targets – with a ‘hunting’ attitude and tenacity for the sale.
