Business Development Manager - Office Based (Nottingham)
Working for an established, yet growing, investment management you will be responsible for generating and retaining inflows for the company's investment retail products. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver performance against objectives set at start of each half-year period
- Contact financial advisors within specified postcodes and/or firms to promote retail product range
- Sell across the product range with reference to areas of strategic focus/importance as they arise throughout the year
- Target new, existing and lapsed supporters for inflow growth in all areas of the product range as appropriate
- Take ownership of specific relationships within the region. These will include, but need not be limited to, paraplanners, admin staff and/or specific advisors / firms within the region
- Advisor contact should include, but not be limited to, telephone, email and WebEx activity
- Help develop adviser technical understanding including generic, product specific and client focused information
- Schedule meetings for the SBDM and telephone/WebEx meetings for yourself
- Work with Senior BDM to develop and execute a plan that will deliver above target inflows/income
- Use available data to target advisers, accounts, products and/or areas of the business model as appropriate
- Generate and manage pipeline, with a focus on conversion, and applications, with a focus on efficient allocation of investments
- Make full use of marketing materials and other resources made available to you
- Work with key strategic partners with a focus on distributors with whom Foresight has invested in a partner package or has strategic focus
- Identify and develop large regional accounts
- Demonstrate high call competency through call listening sessions with Manager
- Share best practice with colleagues to improve productivity of the team
- Feedback to Senior Management on experience in role and opportunities for improvement
- Complete any reporting as requested/directed
- Seek/create innovative solutions to develop region and Foresight proposition including new product/proposition proposals and opportunities
- Take on 'product champion’ responsibilities as directed
- Positive Corporate Citizen - adding measurable value to all internal partnerships and teams as well as impacting positively in the wider business
- Thorough knowledge of and compliance with Foresight’s procedures and standards
- Contribute, or otherwise assist, as required
Qualities, Skills and Experience required:
- Ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
- Financial Services experience not essential but preferred.
- Transferable sales experience
- A minimum of 18 months of experience in a sales role with a track record of excellent sales performance
- Commercial acumen
- Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based
