Business Development Manager needed in the construction (factory refurbishment) industry.
I'm currently working with a company who are on an impressive growth journey, growing their turnover by £5m across the past 5 years through providing factory refurbishment services to the food production sector.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager (Sales Manager)who has a successful track record of selling into the food production sector (ideally targeting engineering managers and project managers) who can take ownership of the Business Development function and progress into a sales leadership position in 2 to 3 years.
Salary: £50k to £60k base salary (negotiable depending on experience) + uncapped monthly commission (£10k year 1 OTE, rising to £30k to £40k in years 2 to 3) + company vehicle.
Location: National role focusing on East Anglia, the Midlands, and the Southeast.

Job responsibilities:
- Identifying and targeting new business opportunities within the food production sector whilst growing an existing customer portfolio.
- Presenting products and solutions to clients in person, understanding their needs, and providing timely customised proposals.
- Carrying out site surveys and taking measurements for the technical team.
- Regular travel across East Anglia, the Midlands, and the Southeast 3 to 4 days per week.
- Responding quickly to customer enquiries.
- The ability to stay focused and perform within a fast-paced environment.
- Learning new skills, services, and approaches.
- Taking ownership of the Business Development function including managing future hires.
- Ensuring seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Management of the company’s sales records in a CRM system.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify industry trends and potential growth areas.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments, attending trade shows, and networking events.
