Salary & Benefits: GBP40,000-GBP50,000 basic (DOE +/- 10%) + Competitive Commission Scheme

The ideal candidate:

MDE is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in sales within an energy consultancy or broker. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary contact for prospect inquiries, ensuring timely communication and updates on progress.
• Lead the sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation, driving new business initiatives.
• Collaborate with marketing to devise and implement effective lead-generation strategies.
• Identify opportunities for new product/service development for business customers and contribute to their execution.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while actively engaging in discussions on sustainability and Net Zero strategies.

Requirements for Success:

• Minimum two years' sales experience in energy consultancy/broker/IPP
• Strong understanding and experience in the business energy and sustainability sector.
• Proven track record in sales and negotiation.
• Competent understanding of flexible procurement, risk management, compliance, and sustainability.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in IT and business intelligence software.
