The role:
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for organising the pitch process end to end, reporting directing into the Director of Business Development.
What you’ll be doing;
- Maintaining & building an appropriate CRM tracker to aid lead generation process
- Scheduling & generating new leads and enquiries, whilst building relationships with third party procurement agents
- Understand the value drivers of the business and identifying profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
- Supporting senior management with recommendations for long term growth opportunities & recommendations for Lead Generation services/providers
- Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for the leadership team.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to leverage all up and coming opportunities for new business purposes.
- Maintain turnover & revenue of current business by working with account leads to consider previously unrecognised additional revenue stream opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with new client prospects throughout the pitching process.
- Represent the company externally e.g. at networking events, conferences and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company's profile and optimise all Business Development opportunities.
- Onboarding new clients and supporting with transition into account teams.
Here’s some stuff you’ll need;
- Min 3+ years’ UK experience in sales/Business Development roles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
- Good IT skills, particularly using CRM / customer management systems.
- Resilience and a strong work ethic - you should be comfortable working under pressure.
- Strong self-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Although B2B sales experience is not necessary for you to apply, it will help to have previously worked in a media agency or media owner environment.
- Numerical and technical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a team.
- Experience in entertainment and children’s media.
- Confidence, positivity, and an ability to present yourself amongst internal/external colleagues.
- Ability and confidence to learn and apply new skills.
- Experience in working across international territories.

Salary: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
