Business Development Manager

Contract Type: Permanent/ Full time
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday

We are an established yet still rapidly growing company in the construction market. We are now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to build out a new team of Business Development Executives, and once in place to lead, support and manage the team. As a key player in our organisation, you and your team will play a crucial role in supporting growth across construction projects by cultivating and generating leads for our external (field-based) sales representatives.

About the Role:

Lead Generation:

• Develop and implement comprehensive Business Development strategies to achieve ‘quality’ lead targets.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for growth.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of Business Development Executives to achieve individual and team targets, providing guidance and support as needed.
• CRM Management: ensure effective Business Development processes are in place to capture key data, which are reflected on the CRM by all Team members.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as internal sales, external sales, marketing & product development to ensure seamless execution of Business Development initiatives.

About You:

Proven experience in a similar role with a strong focus on Business Development, preferably in a fast-paced sales environment, which must include high volume outbound call activity.
An inspiring leader with the ability to support and challenge team members to achieve their potential.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and other relevant software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
