An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our community; we are looking to appoint a new Business Manager, a key post as the school continues to grow. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role to develop, direct and coordinate the full range of school financial and administrative services, specifically with regard to buildings, resources and health and safety. They will take an active role in developing strategies for the longer term use and development of the overall business and school site.
As part of their role, the new Business Manager will be reviewing ways to maximise the school’s financial resources, by developing how the estate is used within the wider community as a means to generate income as well as identifying other external funding sources.
Leadership responsibilities would include management of support staff as well as negotiating service contracts and oversight of tender processes. Utilising strong skills in communication and relationship management, the successful candidate would develop and maintain a range of contacts with colleagues throughout HCC to increase partnership working and improve services.
The ideal candidate will use their extensive organisational and time management skills in conjunction with their knowledge of Health and Safety policies to ensure that the school meets if full obligations to the welfare of all within the community.
The successful candidate should have at least 5 years previous experience in school business management, with a strong track record of successfully managing staff and strategic planning. Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and codes of practice is essential. Relevant qualifications in school business management is desirable.
