Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer on a 2 year fixed term, full-time basis, based at Force Headquarters, to support senior Detectives in delivering on their strategic goals.
As a Business Support Officer you will work closely with Superintendents and other members of the CAID SMT to devise, monitor and progress plans that drive the Force's delivery of high standards and service in the crime and intelligence areas.
Key Accountabilities
To support the senior managers of each area of business across CAID.
To undertake a number of key functions that will ensure that the Directorate is prepared for inspections, that directorate risks are continually evaluated, that strategic objectives are met through the creation and population of delivery plans, and that comprehensive analysis and research is undertaken with results and recommendations evaluated and presented clearly.
To ensure that policies and procedures remain up to date, senior managers are briefed and prepared for meetings and events and undertake such other duties commensurate with the post as may be required for the effective performance of the directorate.
The must haves
Educated to 'A' level standard or have previous experience of working to that level in the form of reports, research or projects previously undertaken.
Have a knowledge, understanding and appreciation of working alongside external agencies, and the impact these may have on Leicestershire Police. Have awareness at all times of the need for sensitive disclosure of information and appropriate methods of communication demonstrating high levels of tact, judgement, integrity and discretion.
To have worked within a large complex organisation, during which you have needed to develop your understanding of the role, function and operating practices of multiple departments or units in order to support others and undertake your responsibilities, both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
To have experience of supporting internal / external business process audits and inspections through monitoring, reporting and active involvement.
To have access to a vehicle to be used for work purposes and be able to travel and work across the Force areas as required (reasonable adjustments will be considered under the Equalities Act.)

Salary – £30,783-£32,772 per annum
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
