The Business SystemsTeam Manager will lead and manage the Business Systems team to develop, maintain and administer the Revenues Unit Business Systems and associated control functions. Ensuring system integrity and that internal and external audit requirements are met. Leading and managing the Business Systems Team in accordance with the council’s objectives and values as set out in the Corporate Plan, Corporate Debt Policy and the Revenues Unit Service Plan. This will include:
- Project management of system upgrades, developments and implementation of new systems, processes and procedures
- Ensure system robustness, security and integrity meeting all audit requirements.
- Collaborate with key systems stakeholders to manage and enhance the Business Systems used, identifying improvements and overseeing their implementation.
- Accurate and timely application of payments to customer accounts, reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues.
- Effective and efficient operation of the housing rent account function and the administration of the household contents insurance scheme.
- Providing business support to the Revenues Unit.
To manage development and training requirements in relation to supporting staff to maintain and administer the Revenues Unit Business Systems.
The Business SystemsTeam Manager will support the Revenues Manager in ensuring the delivery of a high quality, effective and efficient Revenues Service in accordance with the relevant legislation, case law, guidance, council policy, best practice and standards.
In the absence of the Revenues Manager or other Team Managers the Business SystemsTeam Manager will be required to provide cover and representation for them on any aspect of their duties.
Take the lead role in the delivery of service initiatives, including assisting with the formulation and implementation of policy and procedures and the specification and development of relevant IT systems and processes which will develop the unit into a forward thinking customer orientated service.
