What will the apprentice be doing?
- CAD software for example AUTOCAD / TEKLA
- CDM regulations and responsibilities in the built environment
- Understand the scope and requirements of each project
- Understand the cladding products, systems and standards
- Create a number of drawings from structural steel and architectural drawing packages
- Ensure all information is accurate and clear
- To work well within a close knit team, and communicate with others including architects and steelwork contractors to ensure design compatibility, addressing
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Design and Draughting skills, knowledge & behaviours - delivered in the workplace
- Level 3 BTEC in construction and the built Environment
- End Point Assessment
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- If Apprentice successfully completes the Apprenticeship they may have the opportunity to progress into a long-term position and develop further skills within ACLAD
