CAD Technician
Salary – Circa 34,000 DOE
Location – In Office, Wellingborough
We've partnered with a prestigious specialist design & manufacturing company who've been situated in the washroom solutions market for over three decades, predominantly within the commercial sector. With a wealth of knowledge and the latest machine technology, they're able to produce the highest quality products.
With substantial growth over the last year, they're now looking for experienced CAD Technicians to join their growing design team.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
Creating high–quality detailed technical drawings and plans using Autodesk AutoCAD based on designs supplied by architects and designersLiaise with architects, engineers, and designers to understand their design requirementsProvide accurate, detailed and to scale drawingsEnsure drawings are compliant with building regulations and health and safety standards and protocolsConsider best installation/ production practise for products with input from contracts managers/ installers where requiredRaise potential cost issues to Quantity Surveyors if design alters from original quotation/ designProduce additional installation and manufacturing documentation ad hocCreate internal order paperwork and material call offs where requiredAssist with CNC programming on a ad hoc basisExperiences required
Good knowledge in AutoCAD or similar to create designs in 2D is essential with scope to use 3D packagesBackground in creating detailed technical production drawing packs from conceptual designsRelevant industry background in joinery, furniture or similar is essentialPackage
