Caniad Team Leader
Adferiad Recovery delivers a new, flexible, and co-ordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance misuse conditions and related issues. We harness the talents and experience of our founding and long-established leading Welsh Charities CAIS, Hafal, and WCADA in their fields, enabling our projects to meet the needs of our most vulnerable with a single, unified, and comprehensive approach.
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (Monday – Friday, occasional evening and weekend availability)
Salary: £23,365.24 per annum
Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 public holidays (pro rata)
Based at: Wrexham/Flintshire, covering North Wales region.

Job Purpose:
Caniad is a North Wales substance misuse and mental health service user and carer involvement project, hosted by Adferiad. Caniad works with people with lived experience of accessing mental health and/or substance misuse services, the health board, and the Area Planning Board to plan, develop and improve mental health and substance misuse services.
The Team Leader will support the Service Manager by ensuring all Caniad Coordinators’ duties are complete and accurate, as well as supporting the delivery of the Caniad service. The Team Leader will work to support and work as part of a team to facilitate involvement opportunities for a range of people who have recent experience of substance misuse and/or mental health services.
The project will identify involvement opportunities for service users and carers, facilitate and attendance at meetings and events, recruit new Caniad Involvers (clients), support provision of relevant training and IT support, reimburse expenses and administer the project’s time banking scheme.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this role.
