Care Assistant

The care runs cover Drymen, Killearn, Balfron, Strathblane and surrounding areas.

Each run is, on average, 5 hours long

• HIGHLY COMPETITVE RATES OF PAY - £16.20-£17.30/HOUR
• MILEAGE ALLOWANCE (45P/MILE)
• FULL RUN TIME PAID

* Successful candidates will be expected to work a variety of shifts that will include AM and PM runs, overnights and at least one per split shift per week.

* Each run average of 5 hours - full run time paid

* ESSENTIAL TO BE A DRIVER AND MUST HAVE RECENT, RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WORKING IN CARE.

Within your role, you’ll be caring for clients with a variety of care needs, including those with more complex care requirements.

Essential skills required for this role:

• Must have recent and relevant professional experience working in care
• Current or recent Moving and Handling certification
• Trustworthy, discreet and reliable
• Flexible to meet changing client requirements
• Understanding of National Care Standards
• Articulate and a good communicator
• Ability to work within a team

Successful applicants will be required to complete a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) application and register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting.
