Care Assistant

Ravensworth Lodge is a residential care home based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, run under Quaker auspices as a non-profit making establishment.

We are seeking to recruit Care Assistant’s to join the Ravensworth Lodge team

· Salary £12.65ph

· Working hours would be 8:00-14:00 or 14:00 -20:00 including every other weekend.

The main key aspect of the role are as follows:

· To assist those residents who require help with any aspects of their personal care, i.e. dressing, undressing, toileting whilst maintaining their dignity and privacy at all times.

· To maintain a close working knowledge of the circumstances and condition of each resident, reporting any changes in resident’s needs during the hand-over period to the Head of Home or Senior Care Assistant

· To help residents with mobility difficulties, or other physical disabilities, including incontinence. To help in the use and care of aids and other personal equipment.

· To promote independence and dignity to residents at all times

Skills, Knowledge and experience

· Have a caring and compassionate manner

· Experience working within a care setting

· Able to work well under pressure and at a fast pace

· Able to prioritise your work load effectively
