This is an exciting opportunity to join us, in a newly created role that plays a crucial part in the strategic and operational success of our Care & Housing services. Reporting to the Head of Care Services, the Care Innovation and Change Manager will be instrumental in shaping and delivering our strategy for the safe and effective delivery of care across our 9 regulated care and nursing homes and 3 regulated housing services.
What you will be doing:
Reviewing and enhancing operational processes, including implementing new digital systems for electronic rotas, e-MAR, and digitalizing KPIs.
Contributing to the development and implementation of an efficient admin support strategy for Care.
Acting as an ambassador in the Health and Social Care sector, exploring innovations and research opportunities.
Initiating, embedding, and monitoring KPIs related to absence management, staffing ratios, and quality measures.
Providing operational support and leadership, including integration projects and quality assurance, across all our homes.
Implementing a change program focusing on departmental support functions.
Acting as the Contract Manager for suppliers across Care and Housing services.
Managing agency supply into resources, acting as a point of escalation, and liaising directly with suppliers.
Overseeing any procurement activity.
What you will need:
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant sector (E).
Recognised project management or change management qualification (E).
Significant understanding and knowledge of the broad range of issues affecting older people (E).
Substantial (minimum three years) senior-level operational management experience in a regulated business environment (housing, care, or related services) (E).
Experience leading and managing strategic and operational change (E).
Experience of leading on high-value procurement from tender to implementation (E).
Experience of monitoring spend (E).
Understanding of the financial and strategic context for not-for-profit or 'third' sector organizations (E).
Knowledge of contract management and managing suppliers (E).
Project management and Change techniques (E).
Ability to deliver and embed complex projects and innovations (E).
