Care Senior Service Manager
Job Type: Full time / 35 hours per week
Location: Leatherhead
Salary: Circa £32,000 per annum plus £25 per out of hour shift payment
The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Service Manager to direct the strategic requirement, operational care standard and continuous improvement of our services to their clients, the unpaid carers, across Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage the Service Managers and ensure operational excellence and compliancy within your allocated sector.
- You’re responsible to the Care Operations Manager and will collaborate with the other Senior Service Managers to execute strategic visions at the direction of the Head of Care Operations & Registered Manager. Continuously aspiring to revolutionising the care and support provided to their clients.
- You will provide expert leadership around Safeguarding Concerns and be a role model for other members of the operations management team.
- The applicant must join with proven leadership experience and thorough understanding of CQC regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
- The willingness to commence NVQ Level 3 and/or Level 5 in Health and Social Care within three months. Funded by the organisation.
- Care Certificate and knowledge of CQC regulations and Health Care Act.
- Previous line management experience, ideally in a care setting, including rostering and completing observations and supervisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good level of IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word/Excel) and the ability to learn to use other digital platforms and software.
- Experience of participating in or leading formal processes, e.g. disciplinary or absence management processes.
- Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and experience of handling safeguarding concerns.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with team members, carers and people with care and support needs, while maintaining appropriate personal boundaries.
- Adherence to policies, procedures and national, regional and local guidance.
- Ability to demonstrate dignity and respect for adults and children with care and support needs.
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
- Thorough understanding of the needs of (unpaid) carers.
- Full UK driver’s licence with use of a roadworthy car with business insurance
- Willingness to travel throughout Surrey.
