Pay & Hours:
Rate of Pay - £11.80 per hour, increasing to £12.10 per hour upon completion of 6 months service
Hours of Work – 36 hours per week on nights
Shift Pattern – Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)
April's pay award is pending - new rates will be announced very soon!
The Role:
You will oversee the Care Team and ensure the safe delivery of care, support and medication with all standards met during your shift. You will be fully supported by both the Deputy and Residential Manager. Main responsibilities include but not limited to:
Coach and mentor new and existing staff
Review care plans
Prepare, administer, store, record and order medication
Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
Assist with meals and drinks to support our resident’s overall nutrition
Contribute and support during activities
Maintain and develop professional relations with families
Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
Reporting any safeguarding concerns
Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair
Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes
About You:
You should have an NVQ Level 3 in Care however this is not essential as our Team Leader Development Programme will support those wanting to take the next step in their career
You should be confident in supervising others and be able to manage/prioritise workloads
You should be naturally caring, passionate and committed to providing the best possible care
Be able to work as part of a team
Have patience, communication and listening skills
Have a positive attitude
