Location: Eywood House- St Albans

Hours: 21 Hours Per Week (Every other weekend)

Pay: £13.43 Per Hour

Herts at Home are a care provider working with Hertfordshire County Council, providing care for people living in their own homes in the community and also in independent living schemes (flexi-care).

An exciting opportunity has become available for a flexi-care Care Worker within Eywood House, St Albans

• We pay you £13.43 per hour – (£14.43 for Bank Holidays) from the beginning of your shift to the end.

A little bit about the Role and Responsibilities:

• Providing support to older people as outlined in their care plans.
• Moving and handling and using other techniques to provide more specialist support.
• Helping people to express their wishes/preferences/like and dislikes.
• Offering emotional support and encouragement.
• Adhering to risk assessments and supporting people with behaviours that challenge.
• Medication administration.

About you:

• A passion for delivering high quality care to a wide variety of older people.
• Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we support.
• Comfortable in assisting individuals with their personal care where this is required.

Experience as a Care Worker would be an advantage but is not essential as full training is provided. Therefore, we actively encourage applications from candidates with no previous experience.
