The successful candidate will be employed by Jewish Care, contributing to our shared mission of enhancing mental health provision within the Jewish community.
As the demand for our services has grown significantly, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Carer and Family Support Team Manager. This role plays a crucial part in managing the delivery of an accessible, safe, and effective Carer and Family Support service team, ensuring it meets the identified needs of service users.
This post is full time working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a hybrid contract working from various resources and home.
What you will be doing:
Day-to-day management of the Carer and Family Support Team, ensuring safe and effective service delivery through virtual, building-based, and outreach support.
Providing support and guidance to the team through casework, supervision, and direct client work when necessary.
Facilitating effective communication between the team and other departments within Jami.
Offering direct support to clients through initial assessments, ongoing casework, and the development and facilitation of groups.
Overseeing the creation and execution of support plans, ensuring timely assessments, proper allocation of service users, and focused support that considers the holistic needs of individuals.
Working with the Senior Manager to oversee the access and advice pathway into the service, implementing and monitoring a waitlist as needed.
Contributing to the Youth Mental Health Network, representing the views of parents and families.
Collaborating with clinical supervisors and leads to ensure casework is safe, meaningful, and of high quality.
Monitoring compliance with policies and maintain accurate records using Apricot for service.
Developing and maintain effective team working with internal services and external partners.
What you will need:
Relevant Health and Social Care qualification or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Significant experience supporting carers of people with complex mental health needs.
Management experience in a multiskilled team within a health and social care setting.
Evidence of partnership working with other agencies, including Social Care Services, Health services, and Voluntary Agencies.
Knowledge and experience with supporting people around their wellbeing at work.
Knowledge and commitment to service users' rights, involvement, and service-user-led initiatives.
Working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and other relevant Acts.
Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Amendment 2007, Equality Act 2010, and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Ability to develop practical solutions to problems.
