OVERALL PURPOSE OF POST
This post is a social care development role within Northamptonshire Carers to support people with Care needs and their family Carers to remain as independent as possible at home. To provide Regulated Care support across all care services provided by Northamptonshire Carers.
Bank holidays are inclusive.
Flexibility to provide cover for colleagues is essential and dependent on the needs of the service.
To provide support and assistance to Carers and people with care needs. This will involve the provision of personal, emotional, and social care, always respecting confidentiality within an equal opportunities framework.
Liaison with other professionals including health and social care providers as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will provide all care-provision required. In addition, the post holder will:
- maintain accurate records, as directed by the manager, and carry out any administrative tasks required;
- act in accordance with Northamptonshire Carers and Carers Trust policies and procedures, maintaining our high standards;
- treat all Carers and people with care needs with respect and sensitivity, recognising the need for confidentiality at all times;
- participate in supervision, appraisal and training sessions to ensure that standards are constantly maintained;
- work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and providing a flexible service;
- respect the personal lifestyle choices of colleagues, Carers and people with care needs, ensuring that equal opportunity principles are applied at all times.
Working hours will be between Monday to Friday, 9 - 5. Occasional weekend and evening working may be required.
