WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Daily reconcile the current and web sales bank accounts, promptly investigating and resolving any reconciling items. Weekly, reconciles sub-bank accounts, handling multiple currencies, and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
* Monitor shop statement postings for banking discrepancies. Post credit card charges and bank fees on a weekly basis.
* Maintain day-to-day relationships with Lloyds, ensuring accurate representation of current authorities in mandates.
* Prepare and distribute the Weekly cash summary to the management team. Uphold shops' compliance with company policies and continuously enhance and update banking policies.
* Address queries in the Banking Inbox promptly. Provide banking support for new shop projects.
* Handle ad hoc finance tasks and reports, including assisting external auditors during year-end audits on banking procedures and queries.
* Assist Retail Ops with the paperwork return process, handle small international VAT returns, and record new fixed assets in the Fixed Asset Register.
* Month-end tasks include distributing foreign exchange rates, updating the Forward Contracts log, and completing monthly reconciliations.
* Prepare all bank account reconciliations by the month-end deadline.
* Reconcile Cash and float balance sheet accounts (both domestic and international) monthly, ensuring the resolution of outstanding items.
* Reconcile and post adjustments for banking discrepancies.
* Post ad hoc month-end journals, such as credit card accruals.
