How you'll make a difference
- You will be working at Badminton Road, Yate to assist the cook with the preparation and cooking of hot and cold food and snacks for lunch and tea time meals.
- You will work with the catering team in the kitchen to ensure the food service is on time, serviced and packed for the drivers to collect and distribute in the community
- You will be actively partaking in cleaning duties and complete cleaning schedules.
- You will have the opportunity to learn new skills to support development.
What you need to know
- Community meals is a year-round service, including Christmas and Bank holidays
- Based at the Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5AF
- Hours: various shifts available, with start times of either 7.00 am or 8.00 am - with mid-day finish
- Uniform will be provided
- We will offer food hygiene and Allergen training if required

What we need from you
- Ideally, you will have experience of working in a food preparation environment.
- You will have the ability to work efficiently and at a sustained pace.
- You will be able to demonstrate you can follow instructions, for example accurately following a meal picking list for the delivery of rounds.
- You will be working independently as part of a team/crew.
- You will be able to demonstrate high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the workplace.
