We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who is tenacious, enjoys influencing, negotiating and who is commercially astute and able to work effectively with the sales team to ensure customers get a great service every time. Ideally you will have food or ingredients experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select and negotiate supply contracts, including pricing and terms, developing supply agreements and collaborating with Technical team for supplier approval.
- Identify new product category opportunities and present business cases to the leadership team
- Assess risks and opportunities in selected categories and develop strategies to mitigate risk
- Monitor stock levels and address concerns (shortage, slow moving items, supply issues) while conducting benchmark analysis on key product categories for pricing improvements
- Keep up to date with market trends, propose new products to meet evolving customer needs, and provide market research insights
- Support in the design and implementation of procurement process improvements
- Conduct product training for the Sales team and accompany them on customer visits
- Attend trade shows to meet with existing and potential suppliers, gaining valuable market insights and supporting profit growth
