Post 1: Stores Catering Assistant
We are currently looking to recruit a Stores Catering Assistant to work within the main kitchen at Queen Margaret Hospital.
Work pattern will be 35 hours per week 6.45am – 2.15pm, Monday – Friday.
The odd weekend may be required due to service demands, any weekend working is paid at an enhanced rate.
You will be required to place and receipt orders for all catering supplies on our Pecos system. Experience using Pecos would be an advantage but full training will be given. This is a manual role and you will be required to put away deliveries, rota and store stock daily.
You will be provided with uniform, safety footwear and personal protective equipment where this is required and will be expected to adhere to the NHS Fife Dress Code.
Post 2: Catering Assistant
We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to work within the main kitchen at Queen Margaret Hospital
Work pattern will be 27.5 hours per week. 9am – 2.30pm. Some flexibility is required to cover absence.
You will have a neat and tidy appearance, a cheerful disposition as well as the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
Experience in catering is essential and sound knowledge for food hygiene practices.

Please note the salary for these posts is pro rata for part time hours.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
